Place aux sciences

Addressed to elementary school students, this modular program was designed in response to the standards set by the pan-Canadian studies program.

The illustrations in this collection are attention getting and all diagrams are detailed and clearly identified.  

Advantages:

• These pedagogical materials can be adapted for different learning styles.
• The booklets follow each step in the “scientific research” method and the “model design” method.
• Correlation documents for different provincial programs are provided.

The components:

• Four to six titles for each year
• A teacher’s guide for each title (aside from the kindergarten titles) with references, evaluation strategies, activity sheets, etc.
• A user’s manual for the program and an evaluation guide providing evaluation and self-assessment tools along with illustrated summaries of important scientific ideas that can be photocopied and displayed in the classroom
