Multidisciplinary materials that bring together the competencies covered in French, visual arts, dramatic arts, the social universe, sciences and technology courses.

Ankor makes use of a project-based methodology that interests students, an original way of working with different learning styles, and feasible reading challenges.

The components:

• Textbooks with topics and projects that inspire a desire to learn
• A social universe textbook covering the five societies studied in the program (the Iroquois, the Algonquins, and the Incas around 1500, French society in New France around 1645, the Iroquois between 1500 and 1745, and Canadian society in New France, and the Thirteen Colonies around 1745)
• Teacher’s guides that provide rich learning situations, evaluation tools, and didactic summaries (pedagogical approaches for each project, new grammar, how to use youth literature, etc.)
• Activity books
• CD of songs and readings
• Posters that help students acquire essential knowledge (reading and writing processes, how to correct spelling, how to conduct research, methods used in science and technology, etc.)
