Cyclades

Multidisciplinary materials that bring together the competencies covered in French, visual arts, dramatic arts, the social universe, sciences and technology courses.

Cyclades makes use of a project-based methodology that interests students, an original way of working with different learning styles, and feasible reading challenges.

The components:

• Textbooks with topics and projects that inspire the desire to learn
• A social universe textbook covering the eight program subjects: the British conquest of New France; Canadian society around 1820; Quebecois society, Canadian society in the Prairies and Canadian society on the west coast around 1905; Quebecois society, Inuit and Micmac society, and non-democratic societies around 1980
• Teacher’s guides that provide rich learning situations, evaluation tools, didactic summaries (a pedagogical approach for each project, new grammar, use of youth literature etc.)
• Activity books
• CDs of songs and readings
• Posters that help students acquire essential knowledge
